Construction Codes Advisory - Promoting construction of safe , healthy, habitable buildings: Farm Buildings in the Construction Code Act. ​Although exemptions may apply to farm buildings (other than residential) please complete the applicable applicable/permit at the RM office prior to any build.  Residences and other buildings where sleeping accommodation is provided on a regular, temporary or seasonal basis are required to comply with the National Code of Canada adopted for use in SK. Contact the RM office to complete the applicable applications and obtain permits prior to any build.

2027 Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmer Nominations: 

Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program is designed to recognize young farmers that exemplify excellence in their profession. Eligible nominees must be farm operators between the ages of 18 and 39 who derive a minimum of two-thirds of their income from their farm operations. Each year one farming couple is selected from each of the program’s seven Regional Recognition Events to represent their respective region at the National Recognition Event. The submission deadline for nominations is November 15, 2026.

The U of S Canadian Centre for Rural and Agricultural Health/The Ag Health & Safety Network is  offering the following events:  1) Farm Safety Drawing Contest that is open to rural kids ages 5 to 13, 2)  the SARM scholarship that is open to students who have a farming background and their parents pay taxes to an RM, and 3) participation in a Sun Safety Study.

Interested in testing your Well Water? Pick up a Drinking Water Analysis kit at RM398 and send it in to Saskatchewan Health Authority for testing. Select the type of analysis along with the applicable fee(s) when sending in the sample. Details available at the RM office.
